The Who is Jesus
“Effective evangelism is taking the initiative to share the gospel by the power of the Holy Spirit and leaving the result to God” – Dr. Bill Bright
About the Campaign
This event is evangelism and awareness focused. This strategy aims to provide multiple opportunities for spiritual conversations and evangelistic opportunities using traditional and digital means. An underlying outcome is to market Cru Jamaica, known as Campus Kairos or Kairos Productions on our university campuses.
The who is Jesus campaign is strategically precedes Easter and focuses on the character of Christ. It involves the use of resources such as surveys, games and videos. Our measurable goal is to engage 100 students in spiritual conversations or to the gospel combined.
Prepare your hearts
Start each day with prayer. Pray that God will fill you with the power of the Holy Spirit and that you will walk in his spirit. Surrender the results of the day to Him. Pray specifically that God would lay on your heart which people He wants you to share with and trust Him to lead you into significant spiritual conversations. Take turns praying as a group for what the Lord wants to do in and through you as you step out in faith.
Tools for spiritual conversations
As you share about your own faith, you can be ready with some additional content to help you express what you believe. Here are a few recommendations:
* Knowing God Personally (4-point outline explaining the gospel)
* Starting With God (email follow-up series)
In the section which follows we have a list of activities that you may participate in. You do not need to follow the order however, you may determine how many days leading up to April 4 you would like to engage students in these activities. We recommend however that each campus does a Vox Pop. This needs to be done early, so that you can edit it early and have it prepared for the meeting on the April 5.
