“As it is written: ‘I have made you a father of many nations.’ He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed–the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.” (Romans 4: 17)
“Trusting in self is trusting in a being bound by mere limitations, understanding that the horizon is as far as I can see, as far as I can reach. But there is One whose thoughts surpasses mine, whose view stretches beyond the horizon and back because He orchestrates everything. He knows me, my needs, my desires, my heart and I know nothing good will He withhold from His sons. The beauty of adoption of a good Good Father; the privilege of sonship. I am His and can cry out in my brokenness, “Abba Father!”. And because I know the splendor of you oh Lord I will always look to You.”
There are times when the Lord challenges us to do what seems to be the impossible. What are the limits? Only that we are human and our flesh is not willing to give up, to let go, and to move beyond the status quo. We want to encourage you with the stories of brothers and sisters who trusted God and as a result made invaluable contributions to the Kingdom of God. Our hope is that you would also reach beyond your limitations and hold on to the promises of God.
